EXT. ROAD -  Day

We open with a Drone shot following CANDRA, a devoted man who comes back to his old gang to take revenge on the boss who's wronged him. riding a bright pink princess bike dressed like a woman with a blonde wig down a street until he arrives at a house.

CUT TO:

EXT. ROAD - OUTSIDE ROAD- DAY

He puts one foot on the ground, creating a thump, and dismounts the bike, showing off a pink sparkly glitter shoe. He then seductively walks his way towards the building CANDRA as the camera moves down, creating a low-angle shot of the building.

CUT TO:

EXT. HOUSE - GATE - DAY

A large, secure, decorated gate protects a big, fancy house fit for a king. Two guards patrol the outside of the gate. The guards then begin catcalling CANDRA, Whistling him and calling him over. CANDRA then walks closer seductively and elegantly.

GUARD 1

Hey gorgeous, how you doin’?

GUARD 2

Are you lost, little missy?

Candra with a smirk on his face walks close to the guards and kicks one of them in the groin then the other tries to pull out a weapon but CANDRA smacks them over the head with a heavy purse incapacitating them.

Then we see candra open a door and emerge with the guards outfit.

CROSSFADE:

2

EXT. Compound - Outside garage - day

CANDRA then walks into a garage and sees people working on cars. That could be his escape. He opens a door to enter the main compound then he sees a group of guards drinking relaxing snacks in the Bale/Communal area.

Guard 1

(Confronting)

Hey who are you?!

Guard 2

(arrogant)

Yoo, what do you want!

Guard 3

(interogating)

Where you headed to?

CANDRA

(serious tone head down)

I’m the new guy. I need to go to the boss's office. I need to have a word with him

Guard 1

(enthusiastic)

The new guy doesn’t see the boss on the first day

CANDRA

(confident Looks up)

Watch me

EXT. MAIN DOOR INTO MAIN BUILDING. WHAT CAMERA SHOT DO I USE?

CANDRA then walks towards the main building and meets a towering guard with sunglasses.

BIG Guard

The Big guard is then surprised as to where he gets the ID and before he can ask him. Candra pulls out a spray bottle of mosquito repellent and sprays the guard in the face.

CUT TO:

INT. HOUSE - OFFICE - DAY

CANDRA enters the large office of the BOSS as he tries to close the door the Big Guards hand blocks it from closing and CANDRA kicks it and closes the door.

BOSS

So we meet again, Candra. What have you come for this time?

CANDRA then turns his head to see a  Big well dressed man the BOSS

CANDRA

Your head (smirks)

Boss

(laughs maniacally)

The BOSS then stands up from his desk, takes off his suit and approaches CANDRA to confront him. An intense stare down occurs and the camera cuts from face to face then they both dash towards each other with ready fists and BLAM both fists connect knocking them back.

Boss

Finally the moments i have been waiting for

(laughs)

CANDRA

Tch

(smiling)

Candra runs toward the boss and swings his feet straight towards the Boss's face . Then the Boss block his kick with one arm and threw him to the side

Boss

You never change CANDRA

(laughing)

(pulls out a gun)

CANDRA

(angry)

FADE OUT

(Gun shot)

Reflection : the script and screenplay is very jmportant because it helps us know twhat to say and the situation in the scene also it gives us what expression should we do to make it more good , the problem creating the screebplay is it is hard to know whag expression to use

story board

The Storyboard

This is our storyboard which is created by Kenzo where he created comic strips of how our final project video will unfold. The storyboard is hand drawn mainly by Kenzo and one of them from another members of the team.

The storyboard helped us to plan ahead of time and proved to be really useful as it allowed us to not spend a lot of time figuring out on one scene. It also helps us, filmmakers, to visualize our final story, define technical parameters, and plan the sequence of events. This is my second time doing a storyboard and I think I need some improvements in some parts of the areas such as the clarity of the explanation of some shots.

screen test

this are the candidates we test to play in our film intro project

This was good , because we got to see wide choices of actors which have different skills and we had a hard time thinking on which actor should we choose to be in our movie opening .

We decided to chose Candra to play as the protagonist in our opening scene  , in the screen test video , because we have a good relationship with that person and he have many free time to play in our opening scene project .

and we chose Gusde as the mafia boss in our opening scene project , because Gusde is good at deepen emotions which makes it more realistic and Gusde have a lot of free time which we could use to record our opening scene project .

reflection : The screentest would really help us finding the right actors for our opening scene project , this helps us know which person are capable to work in our opening scene . the problems are most of the people are busy so we cant get the actors .

reflection : this would really help us to know what the location looks like and maximise our opening film project , there are many problems we have on doing the location scout , because we cant find a perfect location for our fight scene , but we manage to find one.

classwork

In this post I will give examples of the technical elements we have been learning in class. These will be very helpful when I am trying to add meaning to my film opening.

Technical elements

These Are The Camera angles We Learned In Class

  1. Long shot

  2. Extreme long shot

  3. Medium shot

  4. Cowboy shot

  5. Close up

  6. Extreme close up

  7. POV

  8. Over the shoulder

  9. High angle

  10. Low angle

  11. Dutch angle

  12. Establishing shot

 Camera movements

Fixed

Camera remains static

Calm, peace, normal

Push in

Camera moves slowly toward subject

Brings the audience closer, more involved, getting more serious.

Pull out

Camera moves slowly away from subject

Takes audience away from the action, leaving a character. Detaching from subject

Pan

Side to side, camera fixed

Reveal information, mirrors natural head movement of the audience.

Tilt

Up and down, camera fixed

Same as pan, just a different direction

Dolly

Camera moves around freely

More immersive, we are moving inside the subjects world, we feel part of the action

Tracking

Camera moves around on tracks

Similar to dolly, but smoother.

Crane

Reveals the epic size of the setting, landscape.

Handheld

Camera is shakey

Very natural, immersive. High energy

Zoom

Zoom

Brings audience closer to budget. Draws our attention to something.

crane

Camera shots and camera movements would help us to know how we could attract audience attention and know how to make the situation more intense and good .

Here Are The Sound We Learned In Class

Description

Effect

Diegetic sound

Sound that can be heard by the characters within the media text.

Add a sense of realism. Reveal information to characters (and then audience)

Non diegetic sound

Sound that can only be heard by the audience.

Enhance meaning, create an emotional response in the audience

Trans diegetic sound

Sound that transitions from one to the other.

Creates a link between the audience and the world. More immersive

Knowing about the sounds could help us make the situation more intense in our opening scene . And sound help to make the audience more intrested in the film opening.

Edit

Continuity Editing

Non continuity editing

  • Straight cut (cut)

  • Eyeline match

  • Shot /reverse shot

  • Cutaway / Insert

*Match cut

  • Cross cut (parallel cut)

  • Flash back

  • Flash forward

  • Jump cut

*Match cut

Knowing about the edits helps us to know how do we change scene without making the film opening wierd. And helps make audience intreseted

Miss-en-scene:

Miss-en-scene refers to the arrangement and design of visual elements within a frame or a scene. The main key elements are:

1) Props
2) Set Design
3) Costume
4) Hair
5) Make Up
6) Colour
7) Performance
8) Lighting
9) Blocking
10) Focus
11) Weather
12) Environment

Mis en scene helps me to know how to make the situation more realistic and more attractive , this also helps me on what costume to use to make it more intense and the set design.

reflection : I dont really understand about the editing because I miss a lesson about the editing , so i need to learn it by myself . and for the others like camera angles and camera movement Mr Nick explained it clearly so i could understand well.
